5 of the best Chrome Extentions
Around 58% of all internet users use Google Chrome, and it’s what I use everyday for design and development, there are 1000s of available extensions for you to add to your Chrome, no matter what you want to do and use, theres an extension for that.
I’ve put a list together of the 5 I use the most from my day to day working which make my day much easier, quicker and a few for when I’m not working.
Muzli is a design and inspiration resource and their Chrome extension is used when you open a new tab. Once the extension is installed everytime you open a new tab you’ll be greeted by a heavily refreshed block of inspirational content pulled from Dribble, Designer News, Awwwards, Behance, Product Hunt to mention a few. It’s a great source of inspiration when you’re looking for something and even if you’re not.
LastPass is a companion to your account, and everytime a password is recognised a you will be notified to be asked to save the password for future use.
You can save the passwords into directories for easy management, and your LastPass account can be used across all your devices, so you can use secure passwords without needing to r3Memb3r them.
You will always need to make a screenshot, and the default OSX is fine, and has its purpose, but what if you want to take a screenshot of a complete page or create a screen recording of a page? Welcome to Awesome Screenshot, the extension allows you to do all these awesome things.
Cookie Inspector allows you to view all the cookies running on a page, once you’ve installed the extension you can see all cookies by opening the Chrome extension and then the ‘Cookies’ tab. You can also edit the cookies you have running on a page.
Window Resizer is a simple and fast way of instantly resizing the window to see the page on a screen size for different mobile, tablet and desktop sizes, this is also an option in the inspector tab in Chrome, but this extension offers more options to look at and can be quickly changed between each size
